No motorized boats are allowed on the lake or its adjoining cousin, Little Lake, so a kayak or canoe is the perfect way to experience the sounds and rhythms of nature. Another great option is to paddle down the Bearcamp River to Lake Ossipee. A leisurely four-hour journey takes you nearly eight miles along a very scenic waterway.
