Inn-to-Inn Spring Herb Tour
June 5 & 6, 2010

Join us for the second annual Inn-to-Inn Spring Herb Tour and learn all about the culinary uses of fresh herbs from innkeepers who use them daily. Each inn features a different fresh herb (this year Riverbend focuses on cumin) and offers samples of a recipe created using the herb (from tomato basil soup to chive biscuits, tarragon chicken salad to rosemary-lemon shortbreads). You’ll take home lots of herbal lore, a notebook of new recipes and plants or seeds to expand your own herb garden. Packages for two, from $219 to $399 (depending on room), include two nights lodging, full breakfasts featuring fresh herbs, and two day Spring Herb Tour. Half of the inns will be open from 11am to 4pm on Saturday, June 5 and the other half open 11am – 4pm on Sunday, June 6.

Barnstormers Theatre Package
July - August

Just three miles from Riverbend Inn is one of America's great historical theatres, the Barnstormers. The oldest professional summer theatre in the country, the acclaimed Barnstormers has been delighting audiences for 80 years. Come experience this rare treasure just around the corner! One night packages for two, which include lodging, breakfasts and two theatre tickets start at $150 and two nights start at $250. Schedule to be announced.

Get Ready for the Holidays: A Celebration of Food and Wine
November 19-21, 2010

Our eighth annual weekend of fun is sure to get you ready for the holidays! Arrive Friday night for drinks around the fire. On Saturday morning after a leisurely breakfast, join chef/innkeepers from local inns who present cooking demonstrations at Riverbend Inn. The afternoon is free to nap, hike or shop local outlets. Then Saturday night is a fabulous wine dinner where we pour and you taste a different wine with each course. For your optimum enjoyment, our package includes shuttle service to and from the wine dinner. When you depart on Sunday, we’ll send you home with a live wreath to make sure you’re ready for the holidays. Packages for two $360 - $560, depending on room.

Inn-to-Inn Christmas Cookie Tour
December 11-12, 2010

Experience this delicious White Mountains tradition in its second decade! Premier inns and B&Bs all along the Mt. Washington Valley open their doors for two days each December for a chance to see holiday decorations and taste Christmas cookies. Tourgoers will be treated to a display of handmade cookie houses and a collection of cookie and candy recipes to take home. Everyone who visits all 15 inns will receive a keepsake brass ornament. Riverbend guests have a chance to win a $250 gift certificate for a future getaway at the inn of their choice. Proceeds from the event benefit area nonprofits. Packages for two from $240 to $440 (depending on room), include two nights lodging, breakfasts, two Tour tickets, recipes and all the cookies you can eat.

Elopement package
Grab your intended and elope to romantic Riverbend Inn.  Our special getaway package includes a ceremony performed by a Justice of the Peace (in front of our fireplace or along the river).  You’ll enjoy two nights in a deluxe king room (with private bath), our award winning breakfast each morning plus French champagne, fresh flowers and chocolate-dipped strawberries in your room. $575-$675, depending on room. If you bring a few friends or family with you we’ll give them a special room rate too.

Honeymoon package
Celebrate and unwind with your honey at New Hampshire’s “Best Romantic B&B” (New Hampshire magazine). Enjoy our 15 private acres along the river or just luxuriate in bed all day. You’ll be pampered in a deluxe room with king bed and private bath, plus you’ll each enjoy an hour massage with our acclaimed massage therapist. And choose either a bottle of iced French champagne in your room or fresh flowers and cookies. Two nights from $450 to $650, depending on room and season.

Romance Package:
Make your getaway extra special and romantic. Our Romance Package includes an iced bottle of French champagne, a flower arrangement with hand-written note, and a plate of homemade cookies or chocolate covered strawberries. $75

Massage:
Relax and rejuvenate with a therapeutic massage. Our massage therapist uses a combination of Swedish, Shiatsu, deep tissue, myofascial release, acupressure and hot stones to rid you of stress. Slip on your comfy terrycloth robe and saunter down to our Tranquility Basement for a restorative massage. One hour $70; 90 minutes $100. Please book in advance.

Chocorua by Canoe
Less than a mile from Riverbend Inn is one of New England's most picturesque bodies of water, Lake Chocorua. No motorized boats are allowed on the lake or its adjoining cousin, Little Lake, so a kayak or canoe is the perfect way to experience the sounds and rhythms of nature. Picnic and swim at sandy beaches, explore flora and fauna (listen for the loons), or dangle your feet in the water and read a book in the sun. Another great option is to paddle down the Bearcamp River to Lake Ossipee. A leisurely four-hour journey takes you nearly eight miles along a very scenic waterway. Sit back, enjoy the peace and quiet and let the current carry you. Choose either option and treat yourself to a very special day! Our package includes canoe or kayak rental plus pickup and delivery, from $35. May to October.
